Coagulation Therapy: This treatment is usually carried out for grade 1 to 3 internal piles where doctors use infrared light to produce heat and sometimes cold to make hemorrhoids react and shrink. Due to the use of infrared light, this therapy is also called infrared photocoagulation.
Sclerotherapy: Here doctor injects a specific type of chemical to shrink the hemorrhoid and stop bleeding complections. The surgery is carried out to treat grade 2 hemorrhoids, and the good thing is people don’t experience any pain.
Hemorrhoidal Artery Legation: HAL, also known as Hemorrhoidal arterialization (THD), is used to treat grade 2 and grade 3 hemorrhoids. Here, the surgeon located the swollen blood vassals and closed them off using ultrasound and ligates.
Hemorrhoid Surgery Using Anesthesia
These types of surgeries are mainly used to treat grade 3 and grade 4 hemorrhoids. A patient may experience extreme pain, which is reduced by giving anesthesia. There are two types of treatment methods, namely Hemorrhoidectomy and Hemorrhoidopexy, which are explained below.
Hemorrhoidopexy: This is the same-day surgery used for treating grade 3 and grade 4 butthole while using local, regional, and general anesthesia. It is also called the stapling method because doctors use surgical staples to fix the prolapsed hemorrhoid back into the space inside your rectum.
Hemorrhoidectomy: This is the most common treatment used for grade 3 and 4 hemorrhoids, both for internal and external piles. The procedure starts by giving anesthesia, and then the large hemorrhoid is cut off from the infected place.
Though hemorrhoids can be treated using office treatment or while having a specific diet, still the situation can become chronic if not treated soon. In such cases, a person may need these treatment methods depending upon the severity of the hemorrhoid to get relief.
How Long Does It Take To Recover After Butthole Removal Surgery?
After hemorrhoidectomy, the individual may take almost six weeks to recover. During this time, he/she may experience pain and sensation of anal fullness and tightness for the first two weeks. In such cases, your doctor may recommend taking pain relief medication as prescribed, applying an ice pack or frozen peas to get relief from pain, and taking a sitz bath for 15 to 20 minutes at least three to four times a day.
